The Environmental Initiatives Committee researches environmental issues and concerns and helps implement practical solutions to address those issues. Special projects and seminars are hosted at Weber State University to educate students and the Weber State University community about environmental stewardship. Each semester the committee sponsors the "Light Bulb Exchange" on campus, work with community clean ups, assist with Earth Week, educates elementary students in Weber School District on recycling, and maintains a community orchard on campus.
