Registering your service hours with the WSU Community Involvement Center provides the university with a more accurate picture of the volunteering and service-learning happening on our campus. This simple procedure enables the center to recognize all of our campus members who are engaged in service. Additionally, it helps faculty track students' service-learning hours, and helps students list all their service activities on their co-curricular transcript.

Step by step...

First, you need to Register with the Community Involvement Center.  Click on "Register" in the purple bar on the left.  Once you register, return to this page to record your hours.

Second, print the appropriate form to record your hours.

For individual service experiences, you would use the individual service form.  All service hours that are required as an assignment in a WSU course should be recorded using this form.

Groups of volunteers would use the group service form. An example of a group service project would be a group of volunteers serving dinner at the homeless shelter or cleaning a stretch of highway.  This form should be used by groups of volunteers who are NOT serving as part of a WSU course assignment.

Third, fill out the form including name, your student ID number and address. Our computer system uses a person's ID for identification. We have found that there are many students with the same names--who really aren't the same! Be sure to include the date(s) of hours of your service on the lines provided.

Fourth, have the Agency Volunteer Coordinator sign it verifying your hours. Fill out the agency name and address. Forms without the agency name and address will be returned to you.

Fifth, make a copy of the time log for your own records and submit the original time log to the Community Involvement Center, Room 94 in the Stewart Library. The form can also be mailed to 2913 University Circle, Weber State University, Ogden, UT 84408-2913. 

Anytime you would like to find out your total service hours you have registered, please access the Service Tracking System login page.  This is available 24/7.  You can also update your personal information.
