There are several ways for WSU students to get involved in community organizations like yours.
Service-Learning experiences and Community-Based Research projects are service projects that are incorporated into academic courses to teach specific course objectives. Some WSU faculty members require their students to engage in this type of learning.
Community Service volunteer opportunities are another great way for students to get involved with community organizations like yours. Volunteering is service that is not required in a course. These volunteer opportunities can be accessed through the Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP).
Register with the Community Involvement Center
By doing so, you gain:
Assistance circulating your organization’s requests for student volunteers.
Assistance connecting with faculty and students to address specific community needs.
Access to a community events calendar where your organization can post events.
Access to campus and statewide discussions, training, and retreats specific to community-based learning techniques and volunteerism.
Registering with CIC does not automatically register you for the Service Opportunity Directory. Please use the application links below to apply for your spot in our database.
