HIEEs Pay
Earn while you learn! Weber State University (WSU) is committed to providing transformative experiences for undergraduate students and creating access to these experiences. The HIEEs Pay program removes barriers for students to participate in high impact educational experiences (HIEEs). These experiences help WSU students achieve their educational and professional goals and better prepare them for future opportunities.
Under the HIEEs Pay program, students earn $11.75 per hour and can earn up to $1,500.
Once approved, eligible HIEEs Pay students can log hours in TAS Time Clock from the first day of the semester until the last day. Hours cannot be logged in between semesters.
Applications for the Summer and Fall 2026 semesters are now open. To join the program, please follow the steps outlined in the "HIEEs Pay Process" below.

HIEEs Pay Process
1: Choose Your HIEEs Pay Program
Review the participating HIEEs Pay programs below for one that fits your interests or major. A HIEEs Pay staff member can help you find the best program for your major or desired career.
2: Sign Up for the Wildcat Advantage Program
Register for Wildcat Advantagein Give Pulse. The HIEEs Pay program is a perk offered exclusively to Wildcat Advantage students, so you must join Wildcat Advantage to be apart of HIEEs Pay. At the bottom of the form, you will be asked, “Are you interested in participating in the HIEEs Pay Program?” Select “Yes,” and the HIEEs Pay Application will be sent to you.
3: Submit the HIEEs Pay Application & Attend Orientation
The HIEEs Pay application will be sent to you after you register for Wildcat Advantage. Once you complete the application, you will be asked to attend an HIEEs Pay orientation so you know what to expect from the program and how to participate.
4: HIEE Area Approval and Onboarding Paperwork
After you attend an orientation, the HIEE Area you applied to will review your application. If your application is approved, you will receive an email asking you to complete paperwork so you can start getting paid. This includes a cell phone use agreement (for clocking in and out on your phone), a job application, and new hire paperwork (unless you are currently or have previously been employed by Weber State University). There may be additional steps; if so, you will be notified. To start getting paid for your work as quickly as possible, please complete these onboarding steps as soon as you can. Please note that Weber State University policy does not permit payment for work performed before you are officially onboarded and able to log your hours in TAS.
5: Log Hours in TAS and Track Progress in HIEEs Pay Canvas Course
Once your paperwork is completed and processed, you will receive an email notifying you to begin logging your hours in TAS and getting paid while you learn in your HIEEs Pay program. You will also be added to a HIEEs Pay Canvas course where you will find helpful information to help you navigate the program, verify the hours you worked, and track your growth as you participate.
