HIEEs for Students

High impact educational experiences (HIEEs) can transform your educational, personal and professional development. At Weber State University (WSU), HIEEs are embedded in your courses and co-curricular experiences outside the classroom. These experiences can be found in the catalog and on GivePulse, a student engagement platform.

Wildcat Advantage can also help you get involved in HIEEs—the program will even reward you for participating in at least two HIEEs before graduation! Undergraduate students can earn up to $1,500 by participating in HIEEs Pay, earning a colorful braided graduation cord.

Participating in HIEEs will help you…

  • Feel more engaged with peers, faculty and staff at WSU
  • Learn, retain and apply knowledge
  • Complete your degree with experience you can list on your resume
  • Develop transferable skills, such as career competencies from the National Association of Colleges and Employers, to apply in your personal, academic and professional lives

How do I find HIEE course attributes in the catalog?

  1. Open the University Catalog app in the eWeber portal.
  2. Click on Course Attributes on the left side of the page to find an explanation of high impact educational experiences (HIEEs) course attributes.
