INDEPENDENT STUDY PROGRAM DETAILS

Students must apply to and be accepted to both Weber State and University the independent study program.

Independent study academic contracts are established with each student upon acceptance to the program, detailing the required courses you will need to complete.

Students will have six months from the time of registration to complete coursework. We encourage students to complete their course sooner, if possible.

Independent study tuition is $316 per credit hour for the 2026-27 academic year (subject to change). Tuition is due at the time of registration. For more information, visit the Tuition and Payment for Independent Study website and go to the self-paced online option.

Students enrolled in independent study programs are not eligible for tuition waivers, including nonresident waivers, as the tuition rate is already discounted. However, they may be eligible for certain private scholarships and are encouraged to complete a Scholarship Universe application to be considered.

Email RadIND@weber.edu for more information about the independent study programs.
