Selection Process

A committee of Weber State faculty and representatives from healthcare facilities affiliated with the university determines who is accepted to the radiologic sciences bachelor’s degree programs.

Selection is based on a point system. Students who earn the most points will be accepted. You receive points based on your grade point average (GPA) and an interview.

The number of students accepted is determined by the number of students our affiliated healthcare facilities are able to accommodate for clinical hours.

If you are not initially accepted, you may be accepted as an alternate if another student decides not to enter the program.

If you are accepted to more than one program, you may select the program you wish to pursue. You may not pursue multiple programs consecutively.

The selection of students adheres to all state and federal laws and university policies concerning discrimination and fairness in the selection process. WSU strives to include a variety of perspectives, as it enriches the learning environment for all students.

All correspondence from the School of Radiologic Sciences will be sent to your WSU student email address, including interview dates.

If you are conditionally accepted into a program, you will receive a letter in your student email account from the School of Radiologic Sciences.

Attached to that email will be an acceptance agreement, which must be signed and returned to the school. Once this is done, you can start your onboarding process, which includes required immunizations, drug testing and a background check.

Due to California state law, we cannot accept Regional applicants who have clinical sites in California.
