The IT Service Desk is dedicated to providing timely and effective resolutions to technology challenges. To continually develop and improve our service to meet and exceed customer expectations. We will contribute to the success of Weber State University by providing professional, consistent, and effective support.
Weber State University's IT Services seeks to provide appropriate software tools to enhance student learning, streamline processes, and help the students, faculty, and staff achieve success. IT Services strives to do this through evaluation, purchasing, training and distribution of software through Weber Virtual Labs, Software Center for Windows and Self Service on MacOS, and through web services like BOX, and G Suite for Education.
The telecommunications team is dedicated to the providing end-users with quality communication equipment and services. We maintain the highest level of performance possible with the available resources. We provide consulting services to provide an integrated communication solutions to the Weber State campus.
Virtual Lab was created to provide students access to applications that would otherwise be costly for a student to obtain. Before Virtual Lab, students had to visit a campus computer lab to access the software needed for their classes.
Currently, Virtual Lab includes many applications such as Banner INB, CHP HIS-HIM, Mathematica, Minitab, Respiratory Therapy Apps, RStudio, SQL Workbench, SPSS, Tableau, and UltraTax.
