Planning

The IT Division works to establish a strong sense of direction for our staff, looking for ways we can best contribute. We focus on areas that support the mission of the University’s three goals, which are Access, Learning, and Community. 
Internally we embrace ITIL as a framework of best practices; we plan for the future by building a strategic plan looking out four to five years in the future; we collaborate as teams to provide focused planning for architecture and systems.

Portfolios

Information Technology provides oversight for Portfolio management and project tracking through consistent communication with our portfolio sponsors and project managers.

Governed by a council comprised of sponsors, managers, and stakeholders, portfolios guide the University to ensure limited resources are appropriately allocated.

IT Policy

We provide technology resources that enhance the learning and teaching environment of Weber State University with focused planning objectives and well-designed policies. 

The Information Technology Division has developed and continues to refine a set of Policies and related documents to govern how we do business.

Campus Technology Coordinators (CTC)

The Campus Technology Coordinators committee is comprised of technology professionals from colleges, departments, and divisions across campus.

The CTC meets monthly to collaborate on projects, share best practices, identify technology trends and troubleshoot issues happening across campus.
