Cardiology Technician Certificate of Proficiency (EKG)
The Cardiology Technician Certificate of Proficiency (EKG) program is a one-semester, 19-credit hour program that provides an entry-level pathway for students interested in professional imaging within cardiology.
It includes courses that prepare students for the Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI) certification in both Cardiographic Technician and Rhythm Analysis. Upon certification, you may work in outpatient facilities and clinics.
You’ll learn human anatomy and physiology, rhythm analysis, basic cardiac imaging, and limited patient care and assessment. No clinical education or hospital experience is provided during the program.
A certified cardiographic technician has expertise in conducting tests such as ECGs, Holter monitoring, stress tests, and procedures pertaining to the cardiovascular system.

- RADT 1012: Cardiographic Technician (3 credits)
- RADT 1013: Rhythm Analysis (3)
- RADT 1014: Basic Cardiac Imaging (3)
- RADT 1015: Patient Care in Cardiology (2)
- HTHS 2110: Integrated Human Anatomy and Physiology I (4)
- HTHS 2111: Integrated Human Anatomy and Physiology II (4)

PROGRAM COST
The Cardiology Technician Certificate of Proficiency program is an undergraduate level program, so students are charged undergraduate tuition and fee rates.
