Honors Ambassadors

Charlynn Irwin is the Honors Program Lead-Ambassador. She is a senior majoring in physics teaching with a passion for making learning accessible to and engaging. Her dream job is to be an eighth grade teacher and believes in the importance of creating spaces in which all students can thrive.

Outside of school Charly loves spending time reading and spending time with her family. Charly is a self-proclaimed favorite aunt who loves going on adventures with her nieces and nephews. When she’s not hanging out with her family Charly finds any excuse to be outdoors including lounging in the grass with a good book or exploring the local mountain trails.

When asked what she likes about the honors program she said, “what is there not to love! Not only are the honor classes incredibly engaging, but they also provide a much needed break from other classes while still being intellectually stimulating. The honors community is incredibly supportive and has led to me making friends I wouldn’t have met otherwise.”

Jodi Gaskill is an undergraduate student at Weber State University. She is majoring in English Teaching and minoring in Theater Education. She hopes to teach at the high school level after obtaining her degree. Respect of all kinds and variety are exceptionally important to Jodi. She feels strongly about cultivating a space where all are welcome regardless of any and all outside factors.

Outside of her studies at Weber, Jodi enjoys a variety of different hobbies. During the fall season, she works inside haunted attractions as a trainer and an actor. She also crafts costumes for both her haunted house work and for competitive cosplay. Her dream cosplay is to do a version of her favorite Pokémon, Jolteon. When not actively working on homework, Jodi can be found with some kind of book or gaming device in hand. She is an avid reader of both traditionally published literature and non-published literature in the form of fanfiction.

Banjerd Junior Sariphat — or just Junior, is an Honors Ambassador in the Weber State Honors Program. He is a junior majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Technology with a minor in Finance, and he's serious about turning that combination into something big. His goal is to retire by 30 and spend the rest of his life traveling the world, seeing new places, trying new foods, learning from different cultures, and living life on his own terms.

Outside of class, Junior enjoys playing basketball and other sports with friends, and staying active through running or lifting weights. He loves spending time outdoors, whether that's hiking somewhere new, taking a long walk around his neighborhood, or just being out in the world. In his downtime, he also enjoys painting and reading.

Here's what Junior had to say about being part of Honors: "What I love about Honors is how the courses push me to think beyond the classroom. The professors are incredible, and being surrounded by people who care that much about teaching makes me want to keep learning instead of just getting through the semester."

Madi was a Starks Leadership Scholar in spring 2026 and spent her summer cuddling babies in the NICU. Summer is her favorite season, and she believes that she might be a mermaid. She has tried many hobbies and enjoys being a jack-of-all-trades, master of none. However, cheerleading is her favorite sport, and she’s a big fan of the Weber State Cheer team.

Madi joined the Honors Program because she likes student-led discussions and interactive learning. She believes that knowledge is a kind of power that no one can take away from you. She’s excited to help cultivate a welcoming environment for everyone in the Honors Program.
