The Honors Program is open to all majors and all class years. You can apply any time during your undergraduate degree, and there are no essays or supplemental materials required. You’ll just provide an estimated graduation date. Don’t worry if it changes later!
Step-by-Step: How to Apply
- Open the Honors Student App in eWeber: Go to the Honors application in the eWeber portal (or use the direct portal link below).
- Complete the short form: Choose your pathway — Foundation Honors (the typical starting point) or Departmental Honors if your major offers a contract — and include your expected graduation date. If you’re unsure, estimate your best guess.
- Click “Apply” to submit your application. No essays, recommendations, or documents needed — that’s it!
After You Apply
Here’s what happens next, depending on your chosen pathway:
Foundation Honors
- Your Honors Advisor will be notified of your application.
- They’ll email you to schedule a required Honors Orientation Meeting.
- During orientation, you’ll be given the info to complete the Honors Entrance Survey.
- Once both steps are done, you’ll be officially enrolled in the Honors Program!
Departmental Honors
- Your Departmental Honors Advisor will contact you with next steps if there are any.
- Requirements and onboarding differ by department — no orientation or entrance survey is required.
A few quick FAQs
Do I need a transcript or essay to apply? No, you don’t need to upload anything. Both Foundation and Departmental Honors pathways only require the short application form.
When will I be officially enrolled? For Foundation Honors, after your Orientation and Entrance Survey. For Departmental Honors, your departmental advisor will confirm once you’ve completed your department’s process.
