3 TYPES OF GODDARD SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS

The Goddard School of Business & Economics has a variety of private scholarships available to continuing juniors and seniors with declared majors in the Goddard School. Goddard School scholarships are created through the generosity of private donors and corporations who contribute the private funds for these awards. Award criteria for sponsored scholarships are developed in consultation with the donors. Check out the available scholarships. (If you're interested in master scholarships, please contact the respective master program for further information.)

Important dates
1. Scholarships are awarded in the Spring of each year for the following academic year (Fall, Spring, Summer).

2. You must apply each year to be considered.

3. The scholarship priority deadline is the second Monday in January of each year.

1 UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS

ALL Goddard School Scholarships require you to complete Weber State University's general Scholarship application for the year of issue.

The Goddard School Scholarships that don't require any extra application processing will be awarded from the pool of applicants by the School from the University Application system. You don't need to specify a Scholarship to be considered!

Graduate Programs

These are awarded through each individual Master Degree Program.  For more information, visit the respective program.

2 UNIVERSITY APPLICATIONS + EXTRA

Some Goddard School Scholarships require you to complete or provide extra information in addition to Weber State University's general Scholarship application.

When all applicants are reviewed for scholarships, if you appear to qualify for one that has additional requirements, you will be contacted directly for your interest and specifications of additional information or items required.

3 SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

There are a few Goddard School Scholarships that DO NOT follow the standard application process.  For more information on these scholarships, see the application information below:

FJ Management Scholarship:  Application

This Scholarship was established to help students pursue their degrees without the burden of taking on a full-time job to afford their education.

SWIFT Supply Chain Scholarship: Application

Receive up to $7,000 as a Swift Supply Chain Scholar.  Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and potential to contribute to the learning environment.

HOW TO APPLY

The application process is actually fairly easy and best of all enters you into a pool of hundreds of available scholarships that you may not know you would even qualify for.  We recommend that ALL Goddard School Students complete a scholarship application.

STEP 1:

All students receiving federal or state funds MUST fill out an online WSU scholarship application EVERY YEAR. It is generic information and only takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Complete your application today!

STEP 2:

Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA form: www.fafsa.ed.gov). Completing a FAFSA application allows students to be eligible for subsidized school loans (at lower interest rates) and also gives them a "need" rating which is important for private scholarship opportunities. Don't let the word "need" throw you - the government has goofy formulas and you honestly will not know if you qualify for a private financial-need scholarship unless you fill out the FAFSA. And there are lots of private scholarships out there to be had if you only fill out the form!

STEP 3:

Wait to be contacted regarding scholarship awards. If additional information or items are needed, you will be contacted directly and given an opportunity to provide that for further consideration.  Most scholarships are awarded and contacted by the end of April; however, a few privately funded scholarships are not awarded until August.

GODDARD SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS

We are sincerely grateful for our many kind and generous donors who perpetuate the gift of education onto our community through these scholarships.  Without these donations, many of our students may not have the opportunities they've been given to realize their dreams.
