Stressed About Finals?
You Got This! And We’ve Got You!
It’s completely normal to feel increased stress, anxiety, and pressure during finals week. You're balancing studying, deadlines, and often a lack of sleep. A little stress can be motivating, but too much can feel overwhelming.

Quick Tips
Prevention
An ounce of prevention goes a long way! Get organized, start early, and don’t neglect your physical needs. Good sleep, nutrition, and physical activity are all important for learning and stress management!
Take Breaks
Your brain needs downtime. Try studying with the Pomodoro Technique, which builds breaks into the study process. Join us for a Finals Survival edition of the Pomodoro Study Hall and we’ll time it for you! Or take a break for fun and attend one of the many events happening around campus.
Find What Works For You
Different stress-management techniques work for different people, at different times - and that’s okay. Brainstorm what works for you before you’re in a stressful situation.
Feeling Overwhelmed?
Hit pause and reset - go for a walk, get a snack, tidy your space, redo your to-do list, or all of the above! It can feel like you don’t have time to stop, but taking the time to reset will save you time and stress in the long run.
Connect With Others
Talk to a friend, family member, or visit one of the on-campus social events like Finals Fest: Karaoke and Bowling.
Relaxation Techniques
Practice relaxation techniques like deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, guided imagery, or just taking a nice, long walk!
