Laptop Checkout

Laptop checkout is a program available to students through the Weber State Computer Labs. Students can check out a laptop computer for single-day use, one week, or one-semester block.

Check out a laptop at one of our computer labs located in:

  • Shepherd Union
  • Davis Information Commons

Laptop Details

  • Currently, our laptop checkout computer models are Dell Latitudes and Lenovo ThinkPads, both updated with new software and Windows 11.
  • All computers have full wireless Internet access through WSU's secure Wifi, eduroam, as well as Microsoft Office, Adobe, SPSS, and more.

How to check out a laptop

→Computer Lab:

  1. Visit the Shepherd Union or Davis Information Commons computer lab, with one form of ID and your W number.
  2. Review and sign our laptop checkout contract and tell the lab assistant what kind of laptop you'd like (pending on availability).
  3. The lab assistant will take care of the rest! Please give at least 15 minutes for connecting equipment to Weber's network.
  4. Return your laptop before the due date (the end of the same academic semester you checked it out).

NOTE: Remember to return the computer to the lab you checked it out from and treat the laptop like you own it. You are responsible to communicate to the Computer Labs if you are experiencing technical difficulties or need software. Please email us or visit the labs to ask for help.

→Stewart Library:

The Library offers checkouts for students including laptops, web cameras, and wifi hotspots.
