Johnathan McDermont

Claw Gaming Athlete Highlight

My name is Zach “PackerNation” Newhall, I am 20 years old and I am the captain of the Hearthstone team, in addition to playing for the CS:GO team. I have graduated with my degree in Communications but I still take classes at Weber to keep myself sharp. I’ve been playing Hearthstone since 2015, and CS since 2014. I'm the kind of person who's highly competitive at any game that I play, if I'm not going to play at the highest level in a game it's not worth it to me.

I'd say I'm a bit of an addict because of my competitive spirit, I have 4k hours in CS and at least another 1k in Hearthstone. If you catch me online you'll pretty much always find me grinding one of these games. Some of my accolades include being among the top "Legend" Hearthstone players every month and I've won several CS:GO LANs over the years. Esports is incredible, I've had the amazing privilege to play against some of the best players in the world, and I've made more friends than I could imagine, and I'm not done yet - I'm just getting started.
