Coaching Session Guidelines
- Coaching sessions should last a minimum of 30 minutes but no longer than 90 minutes.
- Participants are limited to one coaching session per week per title.
- Coaches are expected to contact the participant requesting a session within 2 days of the request being submitted.
- Coaching sessions are encouraged to be completed within a week of submission. However, coaching sessions must be completed no later than 2 weeks from the initial request unless otherwise agreed upon by the participant and coach.
- The format of the session is up to the discretion of the coach. While not required, a recommended session would include observing a game/vod and taking notes, going over those notes, then providing take-aways for the participant to focus on in future games.
- Harassment or Abusive Conduct of any kind will not be tolerated.
- Cancellation Policy: If a coach or participant needs to cancel the agreed upon session for any reason, then a new session date and time can be proposed and agreed upon. All effort should be made to reschedule the session as soon as possible.
Zero Tolerance of Harassment or Abusive Conduct
- Coaching Participant: If a participant is actively harassing or demonstrating abusive conduct during the coaching session, the player coach should immediately stop the session and contact the esports Program Coordinator providing proof of the misconduct.
- The participant may be banned from requesting sessions in the future due to such unacceptable behavior
- Player Coach: If the player coach is found to be harassing or demonstrating abusive conduct during the coaching sessions, this will result in immediate suspension and possible removal of scholarship.
- A participant may leave a session at any time. If a participant is experiencing harassment or abusive conduct from a coach, that participant should leave the session and contact the esports Program Coordinator immediately providing proof of the misconduct.
