Changes for Fall '23
How to Register for Employee Wellness Classes:
Starting Fall semester, registration for all Employee Wellness classes will occur through the Employee Wellness App (www.wellsteps.edu/wsu). Please follow these steps to register for your favorite classes:
Registration:
- Log on to your Employee Wellness Account
- Click on the three lines located in the upper right-hand corner
- Locate the calendar icon
- Using the Month, Week, or Day options, locate the date of the event
- Click on the "R" and complete the registration form
Information will be uploaded to Training Tracker and will update your training history.

Learning how to cook meals can help you save money, provide a creative outlet, foster socializing between friends and family, and improve your overall health.

- Appealing Desserts
All participants will receive a reusable meal container that should be brought to each session.
The Body Project
Thursdays, October 12 - November 16
The Body Project is a body acceptance program to empower women to engage in body acceptance and promote a positive body image.
The Body Project is a six-week program consisting of one, 45-minute weekly meeting each week. During meetings, participants will engage in a series of verbal, written, and behavioral exercises in which they consider the negative effects of pursuing the thin-ideal. All participants are expected to willingly contribute during each meeting.
Gym Orientations
Fridays in October and November
Gym Orientations will help you become more acquainted with the gym equipment located in the Wildcat Arena. Register for the classes that seem most pertinent to you. Classes will include cardio machines, strength machines, and flexibility and core. The final class in this series will assist you with designing your personal exercise program.
Cardio & Fitness Assessment: Learn how to use the cardio equipment and complete a fitness assessment.
Machine Weights: The weight machines located on the north half of the Wildcat Arena were replaced in 2020. Attend this orientation to familiarize yourself with the new equipment.
Flexibility & Core: Improve your flexibility and learn what equipment can be used to strengthen your core muscles.
Program Development: Take what you have learned in the above three classes and develop an exercise program that meets your needs.*
*While you may attend classes in any order, it is highly recommended that you complete Cardio & Fitness Assessment, Machine Weights, and Flexibility and Core for enrolling in Program Development.

During this six-week campaign, participants will have the opportunity to assess personal finances, track spending, and then apply simple strategies to help reduce spending, increase savings, and reduce debt.
Check your Employee Wellness Account each week as new techniques will be added to the Campaign tab.

This adult support group is open to those who want to thrive through separation, post-divorce, or re-married. This workshop will be led by a Blomquist Hale professional counselor as an open confidential support group with educational properties. Some subjects that will be discussed will include: grief, coping with change, shame resilience, dating again, re-marriage, co-parenting, step-parenting, trusting again, and other topics that arise. This will be an ongoing group so participants can join when needed. |
Are you in the beginning stages of a committed relationship or dating? Sometimes it is difficult to recognize destructive patterns through healthy love and not blinded love. In this workshop, the presenter will relay tips to make relationships successful and balanced without losing your own values. Furthermore, participants will get to know your compatibility potential and how to find premarital happiness. |

Each week participants will build a scientific foundation for improving your relationships by learning practical skills and practice. Boundaries in general can be tricky to navigate. There are many reasons why we need to set limits to achieve balance. In this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of how to improve assertive behavior and how to state your needs in the workplace for better workplace satisfaction. |
