Lindsay Baird serves as the Director of Weber State University Charter Academy, bringing more than 20 years of experience in education, including special education, school leadership, instructional coaching, and university teacher preparation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a master’s degree in Instructional Leadership and has served as a special education teacher, elementary principal, special education director, and adjunct instructor at Weber State University.
Lindsay is passionate about creating meaningful connections between university coursework and authentic classroom practice. At WSU Charter Academy, she oversees school operations, instructional programming, compliance, and university partnerships while working to strengthen the Academy's role as a laboratory school where young children and future educators learn alongside one another. She believes schools should be places where curiosity is encouraged, relationships matter, and both children and educators are continually growing.
Melanie Feser serves as the Administrative Assistant at Weber State University Charter Academy and plays an essential role in keeping the school organized, welcoming, and running smoothly. She supports the Academy's daily operations, family communication, enrollment processes, records, and organizational systems while serving as an important connection between families, staff, and university partners.
Often one of the first people families interact with at WSU Charter Academy, Melanie helps create a warm and supportive environment for students and families. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and commitment to the school community help ensure that teachers and administrators can remain focused on what matters most—supporting students and creating meaningful learning experiences.
Alyson Yeates-Linford serves as a Mentor Teacher at Weber State University Charter Academy, where she combines her passion for elementary education with her commitment to preparing future teachers. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education and a master's degree in Instructional Design and Educational Technology. Her professional preparation also includes endorsements and training in STEM education, educational technology, special education, and the science of reading.
In addition to providing high-quality instruction for young learners, Alyson plays an important role in the Academy's laboratory school model. She models research-based instructional practices, supports university students through observation and field experiences, and provides coaching and feedback as teacher candidates develop their skills. Alyson believes strong relationships, thoughtful instruction, and opportunities for exploration help both children and future educators become confident, capable learners.
Ryann Largent serves as a Kindergarten Teacher at Weber State University Charter Academy. A Utah native, Ryann returned to the Ogden area after spending several years in Wyoming and is excited to be back near the Wasatch Mountains and part of the Weber State community.
Ryann is passionate about creating a classroom where young children feel safe, connected, curious, and excited to learn. She values the importance of relationships and developmentally appropriate learning experiences during the early years of school and enjoys helping children build the confidence and skills that form the foundation for future learning.
Outside of the classroom, Ryann enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, being outdoors, reading, and following sports—including Weber State basketball. She brings enthusiasm and warmth to the WSU Charter Academy community and enjoys sharing the excitement and wonder of kindergarten with her students.

Elisha Lynnch
Elisha Lynch serves as a Paraprofessional at Weber State University Charter Academy, providing individualized instructional and behavioral support to students throughout the school day. She works closely with classroom teachers to support small-group and individual learning, reinforce classroom routines, implement interventions, and respond to the unique needs of each child.
Elisha's work helps ensure that students receive the encouragement, guidance, and additional support they need to participate successfully in the classroom. As part of the Academy's collaborative learning environment, she contributes to creating classrooms where children feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
