After School Attendance

WSU Charter Academy has establish an after-school program that provides students with a safe, supportive, and engaging environment at the end of the school day.

Program Hours

Monday–Thursday: 3:30–5:00 p.m.
Friday: 1:30–4:00 p.m.

Program Fee

The fee for the after-school program will be $10 per student, per day.

Program fees will help cover staffing costs and allow us to maintain a safe, low student-to-staff ratio. Our initial plan is to serve up to 16 students with two staff members.

Activities and Student Support

Students participating in the after-school program will have opportunities to:

  • Enjoy a snack

  • Participate in academic enrichment or intervention activities, as needed

  • Engage in creative and recreational activities

  • Play and socialize with friends

All activities will take place within the safe and familiar environment of WSU Charter Academy.

Staffing and Supervision

The program will operate under the administrative oversight of the WSU Charter Academy Director. Trained Weber State University student employees will provide direct, on-site supervision and support for students each day.

We hire staff through Weber State University’s 50/50 Student Employment Program, which helps support staffing costs while providing meaningful employment opportunities for current university students.

After School Program Policies

  • Registration Required: Parents may indicate if their child is attending using the After School Attendance button at the top of the page. 

  • Attendance: Families should notify the school if their child will not attend on a scheduled day so that staff can plan appropriately.

  • Pick-Up Procedures: Only individuals listed on the student's emergency contact form may pick up a child. A photo ID may be required.

  • Late Pick-Up: The program ends promptly at 5:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 4:00 p.m. on Fridays. Students not picked up by 5:15 p.m. (Monday–Thursday) or 3:15 p.m. (Friday) may be subject to a $5 late pick-up fee. Repeated late pick-ups may result in dismissal from the program.

  • Student Conduct: Students are expected to follow all WSU Charter Academy school rules and demonstrate respectful, safe, and responsible behavior. Appropriate consequences will be implemented as needed and may include natural consequences, loss of privileges, parent communication, or temporary or permanent removal from the program for serious or repeated misconduct.

  • Health and Emergencies: Parents will be contacted if a student becomes ill or is injured. In the event of a medical emergency, school staff will follow the student's emergency information and authorization forms on file.

  • Snacks: A snack will be provided or students may bring a nut-aware snack from home, consistent with school health and allergy guidelines.

  • Program Changes: The After School Program is dependent upon adequate staffing and enrollment. WSU Charter Academy reserves the right to modify program hours, fees, capacity, or operations, or to cancel the program if necessary.
