Why WSU Charter Academy?

At Weber State University Charter Academy, young learners thrive in a setting that blends the warmth of a small school with the resources of a major university. Our classrooms are led by highly qualified mentor teachers who use research-based instructional practices proven to support early literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional growth during the most pivotal years of development.

Our unique partnership with Weber State University means your child benefits from far more than a traditional classroom experience. Daily instruction is enriched by embedded university resources, including practicum students, faculty expertise, and access to the WSU library and campus learning spaces. Students regularly participate in hands-on field experiences throughout Ogden and on the Weber State campus, extending learning beyond the classroom in meaningful ways.

Students also engage in real-world practice opportunities through our Kindness in Action service project, helping children learn empathy, responsibility, and community engagement from the very beginning.

With a small 11:1 student-to-teacher ratio, every child is known, supported, and challenged at the level they need. We also provide direct instruction in social skills, giving students meaningful opportunities to practice cooperation, communication, and self-regulation at this pivotal stage of development.
