The Division of Student Affairs and the Staff Development Committee are excited to present details of the first Student Affairs Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for you to develop professional skills, create comraderie with peers, enhance your career, and have a lot of fun. The Academy’s primary objective is to provide participants with a greater understanding of the foundational areas of expertise that are crucial to success in our profession. Registration fee: The Academy fee of $75.00 per person covers all materials and most meals. Your department is responsible for paying the fee, but payment will not be required until you have received notification of acceptance to attend this year’s the Academy; notifications will be sent out by April 15, 2008.
Since the Academy is a three-day commitment that will take you out of your office for that entire time and requires departmental funding, be certain to discuss with your supervisor your desire to attend before submitting the application.
