Student Access and Success Advisory Board

The purpose of the Student Access and Success Advisory Board (SASAB) for the Division of Student Access and Success (SAS) is to provide strategic guidance, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment of the division’s goals with the broader mission and vision of the university. The SASAB aims to enhance student success and development by advising on policies, programs, and initiatives that impact the student experience.


GOALS & OBJECTIVES

Strategic Guidance

  • Advise on the development and implementation of strategic initiatives that support student access, retention, and student success.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on emerging trends and challenges in higher education.

Program Development

  • Review and provide feedback on policies and programs related to Student Access and Success.
  • Support the development of new initiatives that address the evolving needs of the student body.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Attend SASAB meetings and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes. Review materials and reports provided in advance of meetings to contribute informed feedback. Serve as a liaison between the Division of Student Access and Success and other university departments or external organizations.

Support the implementation of recommendations and initiatives endorsed by the SASAB.

MEETING SCHEDULE

SASAB will meet each semester with additional meetings scheduled as needed to address pressing issues or opportunities. Meeting agendas and relevant materials will be distributed in advance to ensure productive and focused discussions.

REPORTING & ACCOUNTABILITY

SASAB will report to the Vice President of Student Access and Success, providing regular updates on its activities and recommendations. The board’s effectiveness will be evaluated annually to ensure it meets its goals and objectives.
