Online Submission Example

Your Student Learning Outcomes can now be submitted electronically using the Faculty/Staff portal. You must add the Student Affairs Applications channel to one of your tabs (Information on adding a channel). Follow the steps below to create, save, and submit a Student Learning Outcome.

 Step 1.

Select Student Learning Outcomes from the Student Affairs Applications Channel.

The program loads and an introduction to the application welcomes you. Read through the introduction. Links to examples and resources are available at the bottom of the introduction. The interface is shown below. The tabbed index allows you to navigate quickly through the program.

 Step 2.
Click on the top tab labeled "Manage My Outcomes" to create a new Student Learning Outcome. Previously saved outcomes can also be edited from the "Manage My Outcomes" tab. Select the "Add Outcome" link button located at the bottom of the "My Outcomes" dialog box.

The screen will expand revealing the Student Learning Outcomes Assessment Plan Matrix.

 Step 3.

Give the outcome a descriptive title, enter a goal, outcome, and assessment strategy in the appropriate text boxes. Once the outcome has been entered, you have the option of saving or submitting your information. The buttons are located in the bottom right corner of the Outcome Detail dialog box. If your outcome is not ready to be submitted to the SLOTF committee for review, select the "Save" button. If your outcome is complete, select the "Submit for Review" button. Note: If you select "Submit for Review" you will be unable to edit your outcome until it has been reviewed by the SLOTF committee.

Step 4.

To view your submission, click on the title of your outcome in the "My Outcomes" dialog box. Once the SLOTF committee has reviewed your outcome it will be made available to you and the other members of Student Affairs on the "List Published Outcomes" tab at the top of the program..
