MENT Attribute
HIEE course attributes help students, faculty, staff, and administrators identify and track similar experiences at Weber State. The MENT attribute for Peer Mentoring and Tutoring is for co-curricular, non-credit experiences only.
HIEE Designation for STUDENTS
Did you know that becoming a mentor or mentee can count as a high impact educational experience (HIEE)? The MENT attribute is designated for peer mentoring and tutoring co-curricular, non-credit experiences. Find out which mentoring programs are HIEE-designated and learn more about participating in Wildcat Advantage and HIEEs Pay, including how to get paid for your participation.
Mentoring HIEE Designated Programs
Are you a mentor in a HIEE-designated program? You can earn a MENT attribute on your co-curricular transcript if you complete your program’s requirements (training and performance evaluations). Contact Ryan Mills for questions about your program’s designation at ryanmills3@weber.edu.
HIEE Designation for Faculty and Staff
By designating your course or co-curricular experience with a MENT attribute, you are helping:
- Students more easily identify HIEEs in the class schedule and GivePulse, WSU’s student engagement platform
- Students record these transformative experiences on their transcripts
- Faculty and staff more easily identify and record the innovations they incorporate into the teaching and mentoring aspects of their roles
- Programs, departments, and colleges more easily demonstrate how they meet the university’s strategic goal of having every student experience at least two HIEEs before graduation
- Administrators measure whether WSU is accomplishing our student success goals through HIEEs
