WHY WEBER STATE?
Since I was a little girl, I've been interested in business. So, following Weber's Business program seemed perfect right out of high school. In addition, I own my own business, TayKaye's (taykayes.com), where I sell my handmade jewelry and accessories. So, attending the Weber State Goddard School of Business is a no-brainer.
I didn't want to be limited in my studies. I wanted to know all of the inner workings of a business.
The faculty is one of a kind. They've always worked closely with me to ensure I had everything I needed to succeed. School has always been a challenge for me, so it was amazing to get to know and be taught by the most outstanding professors and advisors.
I was active in the Weber Entrepreneurship Association (WEA). It was fantastic to meet people who were on a similar path. I made friends and worked closely with some of the most impressive people I have ever met. I had the opportunity to help somebody win a scholarship and served as an ambassador during the 2020-21 school year. Some of the most incredible experiences I will never forget.
Gavin Roberts was my QUAN 3600 (statistics) instructor, and he was incredible! He was very patient with me and helped me understand the real-world applications of statistics. Professor Roberts is amazing, and I can never thank him enough.
If you genuinely have a passion for business, this is an excellent place for you to nurture that passion. I love the school. I love the staff and the opportunities given at the Goddard School of Business. You will not regret it!
I'm working to grow TayKaye's online. I am also looking for work in an administrative position. I am super excited to see what opportunities lie ahead!
