Wellness In 30- Goals and Beyond

Stress Free

November 7 - December 18

Learn simple strategies that you can apply right away to help move towards a more "stress free" life. Receive tips and strategies each week on how to lower your stress. These strategies include kind acts of service, laughter, time management and others. The tasks are simple, but can really help to reduce the stressors in your life.

Project Zero

November 14 - January 13

With so many parties and yummy treats, maintaining your weight throughout the holiday season can be difficult. Participate in Project Zero to help you stay on track. 

The challenge is simple:

Have an Employee Wellness staff member record your weight before Thanksgiving and then after New Year's Day. If you maintain your weight between weigh-ins, you will earn two movie tickets. This program is only available to benefits-eligible employees.

Step 1- Stop by the Employee Wellness Office between November 14-19  Schedule coming soon!

Step 2- Actively work to continue or start an exercise routine, and mindfully enjoy your holiday meals. Focus on reducing sweets and getting enough sleep. 

Step 3- Return to Employee Wellness between January 9 - 13. 

Employee Wellness will keep track of your before and after weight. Movie tickets will be awarded at the time of your January weigh-in.

Campus Recreation

Turkey Triathlon and 5K Trot

November 5

In-Person Race

The 18th Annual Turkey Triathlon and 5K Trot put on by Weber State Campus Recreation includes a 5k run, 10k bike, 300yd swim, and is a reverse sprint distance to introduce participants to Triathlons. The race circles the Weber State Campus, which offers gorgeous views of the Wasatch Front as you run and bike. 

  • 9 a.m.
  • Start line and transition area for the race will be at Swenson Gym, Parking Lot A7 on the Weber State Campus. 

Virtual Race

Participants can submit results from Oct. 29-Nov. 4 through Race Entry's Virtual Results Upload.

Registration closes NOVEMBER 5 at 8:30am - Register by October 15 to guarantee a 2022 T-Shirt and Medal
