Two Master's students from the Moyes School of Education, Spring 2026 graduates from the Graduate Studies in Education program, Heidi Gardner (left) and Cari Morrow, represented our College at the Utah Coalition for Educational Technology (UCET) conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, on March 16, 2026. They were accompanied by their thesis chairs, Dr. Katarina Anderson (for Cari Morrow), and Dr. Ryan Cain (right)(for Heidi Gardner).

Cari, a Career and Technical Education teacher in the Davis School District, is graduating this semester with an M.Ed. degree and an emphasis in curriculum and instruction. For her thesis work, which she presented at UCET, she designed a curriculum outline for AI Literacy in secondary education. She enjoyed meeting other teachers at the conference who see AI as an essential piece of education today and in the future.

Heidi, who is a visual arts teacher working in the Ogden School District, is graduating with an M.Ed. degree and an emphasis in educational technology. Her research focuses on using paper circuits in teaching and learning to emphasize the 4 Cs (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Collaboration, and Communication). As a teacher, Heidi values the opportunity to collaborate with other educators on integrating technology that enhances the experience for both teachers and students.
