College of Science Scholarships

The College of Science provides a variety of scholarships on a competitive basis for qualifying students.

Where to Apply All scholarships are accessed through the Scholarship Universe Application. You can access all on-campus scholarships, as well as thousands of national scholarships, through Scholarship Universe.
Timing Matters Applications are considered on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you apply, the better.
Keep It Updated Scholarships are awarded year-round. Update your profile yearly to remain eligible for new scholarships.

Applying for a specific department or activity award (e.g., the Propel Award or BOTANY Scientists Program)? Contact the specific department awarding the scholarship directly for additional instructions.

Premedical Professional Students: If you are a preprofessional student but are not majoring within the College of Science, please contact your major's specific college or department for your scholarship opportunities.

FOCUSED FUNDING AWARD PROGRAMS

  • Propel Award Program

    The Propel Scholarship covers the full cost of attendance for those two years. In exchange for this support, Propel scholars pledge to teach in a high-needs school for four years.

  • Undergraduate Research Awards

    The College of Science is pleased to solicit proposals for Undergraduate Research Awards for the Frantz Family Research Endowment, the Jim S. Bateman Undergraduate Research Fund, the Thompson Science Research Program, and the Pope M. and Grace C. Burkhart Undergraduate Research Fellowship.

    Applications are typically available in October and March. Students can use the awards toward research opportunities.

  • BOTANY Scientists Program

    The BOTANY Scientists project provides paid opportunities to students interested in botany.
