WHY MARKETING?

Initially I was going to do a film major, because I wanted to do something creative. I ended up deciding on marketing because it gave me the best opportunity to express my creativity and apply it to the business world.

MY EXPERIENCE

I transferred to Weber State from Dixie College my junior year. It’s been a great experience. All of the marketing professors are amazing - I’ve learned so much from each of them. Dr. Amos presented the material in a way that helped me understand and fueled my passion for those subjects. Tony Allred and Sky King were also standout professors, and I loved their classes.

ADVICE

---

Don’t be afraid to fail. It’s bound to happen, but have the mindset of learning and don’t worry about being a perfect student. Focus on learning.

Going forward, I’d like to get a job with sports or entertainment marketing.
