“It's never too late to start."

WHY THE MASTERS OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION?

I got my Bachelor's degree in computer science, and I wanted to be someone who could speak across business and technology - filling the gap between the two.

MY EXPERIENCE

My experience in the business school started with the cyber security graduate certificate and the plan to move on to the MBA program. I had been working in IT and dealing with cybersecurity for a number of years, so it made for a smooth transition, and I was able to move from there into the MBA program.

FACULTY IMPACT

There were two professors that had the most significant impact for me. Randy Boyle - working with him was excelent. He encouraged me to stretch and try doing a little bit more career-wise, which led to a career change for me. It's been a good experience. Shaun Hansen - his classes about organizational behavior and ethical leadership really resonated with me and have helped with the leadership roles I've had.

ADVICE

It's never too late to start.

WHAT'S NEXT?

I plan to utilize the skills I've gained in my current position as a Project Director at Hill Air Force Base.
