WHY MARKETING?

I started a business with my family in 2018 – we opened a dance studio. My family is Irish dancers and we do acrobatic arts. In the course of running our business, we found that marketing was something we needed to know more about; so, I decided to study it.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

l like the opportunity to learn hands-on. A lot of the things I’ve learned I’ve been able to incorporate directly to my business - apply it in real time. It’s not just studying out of a book.

PROFESSORS THAT CARE

The class material was engaging and the professors very much care about the students and their growth and development.

FACULTY IMPACT

Professor Amos was so good at challenging me. I tend to hit a groove and work through a class – not much of a challenge. His projects kept me on my toes and forced me to think outside of the box.

ADVICE

---

Focus on the people more than the books. As important as learning the material is, it’s more important to make connections with professors and other students – and to discover WHY you’re doing business.

WHAT'S NEXT?

I'll continue to work at the dance studio and focus on growing the business. In 2023 we’re hitting year 5!
