CINDY GOULDING
master of business administration '24 outstanding grad

The professors knew me, and I could approach them. That's so important in an MBA program.

WHY WEBER STATE?

I got involved in Weber State in high school, as part of the summer stock program. It was a theater program, where you got to come and stay on campus. After high school, I initially went to SUU, but ended up finishing my undergraduate work at WSU. I knew I wanted to get my masters degree. I liked the class sizes at Weber. And I love that when I walk into class, the professor says, "Hi, Cindy." They knew me, and I could approach them. That's so important in an MBA program, because you need personal guidance.

WHY THE MBA?

My aim is to be an adjunct professor. I have been a TA this past semester here at WSU in the MBA program and it has been wonderful. I love teaching and being with the students - so it was crucial for my career path to get the MBA. I figure I will be working 8-10 more years, and it's so rewarding to do that work in the classroom.

INCREDIBLE ACCESS

I have absolutely loved working with my fellow students, and on the group projects. the MBA is unique in that you get to work in teams and get to know your classmates so well. The expertise of your instructors becomes real, and their stories are applicable in your life. It's the perfect learning environment.

FACULTY IMPACT

I have loved working with Drs. Ingersoll and Schvaneveldt. They use a variety of teaching methods and case studies that make it interesting - not just lectures and quizzes. They  keep things creative and make it easier to be engaged.
