AS/AA or AAS of Digital Media Production
Learn specialized skills, earn specialized degree.
An associate’s degree in Digital Media Production will help you develop “must-have” skills needed to work in digital media, video or film. These skills lead to higher-paying entry-level jobs creating content for the web, social media, film, marketing, training and other purposes. Completing this degree will also help you fulfill the General Education requirements and get you on your way toward earning a bachelor’s degree in Communication with a Digital Media emphasis or a bachelor’s degree in Film Studies. You have a choice of earning either an (1) Associate of Science in Digital Media Production, (2) Associate of Arts in Digital Media Production, and (3) Associate of Applied Science in Digital Media Production.
What You Will Learn
This program will teach you those skills employers want most, including:
· Writing for digital media
· Video editing skills to create content for the web, social media, film, marketing, training and other purposes
· Producing audio and video content
· Performing for audio and video productions
Students apply these skills in Communication classes associated with the converged media site, mywebermedia.com. Elective courses come from Art, Theater and Web. The culminating experience is a capstone course where students work on their resume, portfolio, and interviewing skills while becoming acquainted with the field of digital media and film production.
