Bachelor of Arts in History Teaching
In addition to studying history, you’ll learn to effectively present your knowledge to a range of students using advanced teaching methods. Our history teaching graduates become secondary school history teachers and go on to graduate studies.

Social Science Composite Teaching
Along with the benefits of earning your bachelor’s in history, our teaching composite program prepares you to teach a range of social science subjects, including history, political science, sociology, anthropology, psychology and geography.

Our minors offer research and analytical skills to complement any field of study.
Emphases include history, history teaching, public history and Asian studies.
Outstanding Faculty
Professor of History Dr. Susan Matt received the 2019 Outstanding Researcher Award for research that embodies excellence in intellectual merit and has had broad impact within Weber State and also in the greater community. Congratulations, Dr. Matt!
Professor Sara Dant is the 2019-2020 John S. Hinckley Fellow at Weber State for excellence in scholarship, teaching, and service, and was recognized in April of 2020 as a Brady Presidential Distinguished Professor for “the highest quality teaching, scholarship, research and community service."
