Social Science Education Center
The Social Science Education Center at Weber State University offers general education credit at no cost to you as an educator. This is a two-credit-hour history and social science seminar.

Seminars are offered every semester with each seminar focusing on a different topic. Fall and spring semester seminars are on Wednesday evenings from 4:15–6:45 p.m. on Weber State's Ogden campus. Summer seminars are a two-week-long condensed session scheduled for 9 a.m.–noon. You can repeat these workshops as many times as you’d like.

The Social Science Education Center is covering the cost of this seminar, so you will get college credit at no cost. We will also pay $200 for successful completion of the seminar. For further information, contact Dr. Stephen Francis (sfrancis@weber.edu).
How to Register
Registration is closed for the spring 2026 social science seminar.
Visit the Continuing Education website. After registering, click on "Grant" to have the cost paid for. Then, when you are at the payment screen click "Grant" in the drop-down menu.
