Scholarships & Aid Programs New Student Resident

WSU Scholarships

Scholarships are awarded based on merit and need. Available for students new to Weber State, transfer students and continuing students, scholarships are awarded based on criteria such as:

  • Academic performance
  • Activities or interests
  • Community service
  • Financial need
  • Utah residency
  • Academic departments

Unlike student loans, scholarships do not need to be repaid. Depending on the award, they may or may not be renewable.

New students are automatically considered for academic scholarships based on their admissions application. All students interested in need-based and activity-based scholarships must apply for those separately. Continuing students are not automatically considered for academic scholarships and must apply annually and are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
