NUAMES Early College High School Partnership
Established in 2004, the Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering & Science Early College High School (NUAMES) has become a top performing high school in the State of Utah for well over a decade. NUAMES serves students who are in 10th-12th grade. It is located on and partners with Weber State University (WSU) to provide students with a rigorous STEM educational experience. Students benefit from the 4 Pillars of NUAMES, Teaching Excellence, STEM Education, Small School Environment, and University Partnership. These pillars set NUAMES apart as an educational leader. NUAMES believes all education has value, but NUAMES chooses to focus on education that can have an immediate impact in a digitally advanced society, such as engineering, mathematics, science and computer science.
NUAMES and Weber State University lead the way in creating a supportive early college experience for high school students. At NUAMES students have access to a college environment, college coursework and degree programs. NUAMES students can access concurrent enrollment, Advanced Placement (AP) coursework and college courses. The NUAMES Early College Program prepares and supports students every step of the way through a premier partnership with Weber State, low student to counselor ratios, early college advisors, a paid scholarship that covers college tuition (for those who qualify). All of these supports create a way for the NUAMES student to have a meaningful high school experience while earning an associate degree or certificate of completion one month prior to receiving their high school diploma.
*For students looking to get admitted into the Early College program, Weber State University is offering extra sessions of the Residual ACT tests at Davis Campus on Nov. 17th and Dec. 1st at 12:00pm and one on Ogden Campus on Nov. 28th at 1:00pm. Go to Weber State's Residual ACT page to reserve your seat and pay for the exam.
