Weber State University Scholarships
Weber State University provides millions of dollars in financial aid and scholarships each year. Become familiar with important deadline dates and information found on the WSU Financial Aid & Scholarships website.
There is often confusion as to the difference between a full time program and full time credits. If a scholarship or financial aid requires a student to be “full-time”, that equates to a full time credit load.
Credit loads are defined as:
Undergraduate Credit Loads:
Full-Time = 12 credits
3/4-Time = 9 credits
Half-Time = 6 creditsGraduate Credit Loads:
Full-Time = 9 credits
Half-Time = 5 creditsTo obtain full Pell Grants, you must be enrolled in a full-time credit load, not be in a full-time program. Pell Grants are adjusted each semester based on the number of credits students are taking if not enrolled full-time.
The 4-semester RN Program and 2-semester PN to RN Program are full-time PROGRAMS, not full-time credit loads. There are many relevant classes a student can add to their schedule to qualify for a “full-time credit load” while in either program. Students should contact their advisor if they have questions about which classes to take to meet financial aid requirements and support their career plans.

Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing Scholarships
We have numerous scholarships available thanks to our generous donors, who outline the award criteria. The majority of our scholarships require financial need to be present based on FAFSA information. The majority also require students to be at least half-time.
All WSU students accepted into an Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing program may be eligible for nursing scholarships. Recipients are chosen via FAFSA and completion of WSU’s Financial Aid & Scholarships requirements. Students must have a WSU GPA and complete all steps to apply for financial aid to be considered for and awarded any nursing scholarship.
In order to be considered, you must go to WSU’s Financial Aid and Scholarships Page and click on “Apply For Financial Aid and Scholarships.” All necessary steps must be completed by 11:59 p.m., MST.
Deadlines:
Fall Semester: Aug. 7.
Spring Semester: Dec. 7
Summer Semester: April 7
No exceptions will be allowed. Failure to complete all the required steps will render you ineligible for any and all nursing scholarships. FAFSA has its own deadline. More information about FAFSA can be found at WSU’s Financial Aid and Scholarships.
The Annie Taylor Dee School of Nursing is appreciative of the generous community support in the form of scholarships for our students.
