Meet Our Student Mentors

Montana Chapman
Hi all! My name is Montana, but feel free to call me Tana! I work as a student mentor and am a social work major in the College of Social Sciences & Education. I love watching movies and reading (particularly in the fantasy and mystery genre). I always love a good recommendation! Currently I am watching Dimension 20: Fantasy High. In my free time, I enjoy participating in shows at my community theater and practicing aerial silks. I am a first generation student, and as such, I have learned a lot about the resources available to students on campus. If you have any questions or need a little help, pop by the student center or shoot me an email!

Scott Davis
Hi, I’m Scott! I’m a student and a Peer Mentor in the College of Social Sciences & Education, currently pursuing a Social Sciences Composite Teaching (SSCT) degree. I’ve dreamed of becoming a history teacher from a young age, and I’ve discovered that my true passion lies in helping others learn, grow, and reach their goals. I’m deeply fascinated by people and enjoy exploring new perspectives. Whether I’m meeting new friends, learning about different cultures, or gaining new insights about myself, I’m always eager for the next experience. Outside of my studies, I enjoy playing tabletop RPGs (like D&D), the occasional video game, and disc golfing in the warmer months. I’m also an avid reader who loves diving into something new, whether for school or just for fun. You can often find me in the student center at either Lindquist Hall or the McKay Education Building. Feel free to stop by or reach out via email if you have questions about our college or the SSCT program—I’m always happy to help!

Kellie Pickett
Hello! My name is Kellie and I work as a student mentor! I love watching action, drama, and comedy movies. In my free-time, I do competitive compound archery (indoor target season is my favorite time of year). If you have any questions about the College of Social Sciences & Education or just need a space to get a treat and hang out, come see me!
