Summer 2026: The Outdoor Program Challenge Course is NOW OPEN and accepting new group bookings for summer 2026! 

The WSU Outdoor Program Challenge Course provides an educational experience requiring a combination of creativity, physical involvement, teamwork skills, and individual commitment. The course offers an atmosphere of trust and cooperation, resulting in a more effective team.

The Challenge Program can be tailored to benefit the mission of any group it serves, such as academic classes, clubs and student organizations, residence life groups, sports teams, faculty/staff development groups, corporate groups, and civic and community groups.

  2. After you have an invoice, payment will be taken through the cashier's office
  3. Full payment confirms your reservation. 

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST BE 13 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER.

Challenge Course Waiver and Release Agreement 

 

Outdoor Program Challenge Course Price List

Low Ropes Challenge Course: 1-3 hours

Group Size Facilitator Cost per Participant
10- 50 1 -5 facilitator 

WSU Groups: $14.00 per participant

Non-WSU: $17.00 per participant

This includes 1-3 hours of facilitation, 2 hours total of set-up time (1 hour before and after the group), and 2 hours of planning time per instructor.

 


Cancelations and Refunds:

  • If a program is canceled by participants:
    • 2 or more weeks prior to the program - 90% refund
    • 1-2 weeks prior to the program - 50%
    • within the week leading up to the program - no refund will be given

 

Map & Directions

The Challenge Course is located behind University Village housing. Please see the map and following information for parking info and directions:

  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes to account for finding the Challenge Course and parking.
  • Primary parking: free parking for groups up to 8-10 vehicles (typically up to 30 people) will be just inside the gate at the Challenge Course, parked facing west. 
  • Overflow Parking: Use the Dee Events Center lot across the street as overflow and large group parking. 
  • It is easiest to enter the Challenge Course via Old Post Road
  • Bathrooms are available and located in the University Village Community Center.
