Scott Miller Avalanche Awareness Scholarship

This fund is being established by Vince J. Miller & Johnlyn D. Miller in honor of their son, Scott Miller, to help students at Weber State University and the people around the Weber State University area for avalanche awareness.  This fund will be used for individuals wishing to participate in the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education (AIARE) courses offered through Weber State University.

Scott Miller attended the Avalanche class and the Avalanche rescue skills course at Weber State University. He was an avid skier (downhill & cross country), rock climbing enthusiast, bike rider & racer, and all-around outdoors activity person, He spent 5 years living in the Ogden area. He unfortunately passed away in a rock-climbing accident in California in 2022.
