Group Exercise Instructor Certification Course
Train to become a group fitness instructor with us! The ACE Group Fitness Instructor course materials will equip you with the latest instructional techniques, coaching skills and leadership strategies that are necessary to deliver effective and enjoyable class experiences.
During this eight-week course, you'll receive instruction and guidance from the Weber State Campus Recreation Fitness Coordinator and one of our long-time Group Fitness Instructors. You will learn what it takes to be an instructor, prepare to sit for the ACE Group Fitness Exam, and serve as a professional resource.
Dates: March 11-April 26, Wednesdays and Sundays
Times: 10-11:30 a.m. Sundays, 6:30-8 p.m. Wednesdays

Price Includes: 3 hours per week of instruction & all class materials
Time Commitment: Overall student commitment is estimated to be 6 to 8 hours per week.

Learning Outcomes:
- Students will earn a certification accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.
- Campus recreation departments will employ qualified instructors that are able to teach group fitness classes.
- ACE GFI University Partnership facilitators will have the materials and support necessary to lead a consistent and successful course.
Employment Path: After successful completion of the exam, participants can audition to be a part of the Weber Rec staff.
