Disability Services Accommodation Letter
To receive accommodation letters for your classes each semester, submit a Semester Request through the Disability Services Accommodate portal in eWeber.
You must request and send your accommodation letter to your professors at the start of every semester. Instructors will not receive your accommodations automatically, so sharing your letter is required to activate your support in each class.
Not approved for accommodations yet? Register with Disability Services.

About Accommodation Letters
Once your Semester Request is approved, your digital Accommodation Letter will be available in Accommodate. An original copy of the letter, complete with the appropriate staff signature, is provided for each class in which the student will require accommodations. These accommodations may or may not change; however, students are required to provide a new accommodation letter for each class each semester.
The letters are given to each student to deliver to their instructors as early in the semester as possible. Accommodation letters will not be sent directly to the instructor; students are responsible for delivering their letters to their own instructors. It is important that each student discuss their accommodation needs with their instructors. If the class is taught on campus, we recommend that the student set up an appointment and meet with the instructor one-on-one.
If for any reason the instructor believes that any accommodation is inappropriate or may not work in a given course, the instructor should contact Disability Services immediately to discuss the issue; instructors should never simply deny an accommodation without consulting with Disability Services first.
Hard Copies
If your instructor(s) request physical paper copies of your letter, you can print your signed PDF directly from Accommodate or visit the Disability Services front desk for assistance with printing.
Digital Copies & Distribution Guidelines
Digital accommodation letters are generated automatically inside the Accommodate portal once your Semester Request is approved and signed.
To ensure your accommodations are implemented smoothly, please follow these guidelines:
- Submit your Semester Request as soon as you register or when the semester begins. Accommodations are not retroactive, so requesting your letters early gives your instructors adequate time to make arrangements. Please note that if you change your course schedule after receiving your accommodation letter, you will need to submit an additional semester request so a new letter with accurate courses can be generated.
- When emailing your saved letter (PDF) to your professors, you must use your official Weber State student email account (@mail.weber.edu). For security and confidentiality reasons, instructors are instructed not to accept letters sent from personal or third-party email accounts.
- Students are responsible for downloading your signed letter from Accommodate and distributing it to each of your instructors. Letters are not sent automatically to professors.
- We recommend following up with your professors (in person, during office hours, or via email) to discuss how your accommodations will be implemented in their specific course. If you do not receive a response or confirmation from your instructors, please notify Disability Services so we can assist.
Privacy & Confidentiality: Accommodation letters confirm your approved accommodations only. They contain no disability details, diagnoses, or medical records. Disability Services strictly adheres to university privacy procedures to protect your information.
