We’re so glad we caught you before you begin your expedition at Weber State University! We are your Academic Advisors and are here to help you. College can be hard, but you do not have to do it on your own. As Advisors, we will meet with you as often as you need to help you plan out your course schedule, connect you with resources, and find the best path to graduation.

Start Your Adventure by Completing New Student Orientation.

You will learn everything you need to know to get started at Weber State in the New Student Orientation modules.

This includes programs and majors available, how to register for classes, how to pay tuition, the campus resources available to you, important policies, how to stay safe on campus, and even tips that will help you during your time here.

Don't get lost as you start your journey. As you will learn in New Student Orientation, WSU has many resources if you're feeling nervous or scared. Advisors want to be your tour guides and we are here to help you on this journey. Meeting with an Advisor is important because Academic Advisors not only help you decide which classes to take for a timely graduation, we also connect you with campus resources that will help you succeed and people that can answer your questions, help you in your classes, and give you career advice and direction. We are here to support you!

Starfish is a technology tool that supports student success by facilitating communication and connection between faculty, students, advisors, and support services. The My Success Network and Courses channels within Starfish display the people and services that are available to help you succeed. Not sure what you need? Chart Your Course with Grad MAPs. 

Grad MAPs are a birds-eye view of your major and how you can get to graduation in as little as four years. All of your required classes are charted out in this map, and your Academic Advisor can assist you in customizing it to fit your goals and needs.

Continue Your Journey by Exploring Campus Resources.

Explore the campus. Even if you are only taking virtual or online courses you are welcome to use all the resources that are available to you..and there's a lot! The stress relief center, the gym, and the library are just a few stops on your journey. If you are an online or distance learner visit weber.edu/student-access-success for the endless amount of resources WSU offers. If you're not sure of what resources you may need, don't worry! Your Academic Advisor is your compass and they can point you in the right direction.

Don't Hike Alone! 

Throughout your journey, You should be meeting other students and getting involved on campus. Student clubs are a great way to meet other students and try new things.

Check out the many clubs at weber.edu/co 

Your academic advisor may also know of some clubs within your major that may provide leadership and scholarship opportunities, and looks good on a resume. Ask your advisor for club suggestions.
