Events to Celebrate Veterans

Join us for events happening all week to celebrate Veterans Day!

→ Annual Veteran/Armed Forces of the Year Award

We want to recognize the outstanding achievements of a student veteran/armed forces member and a community veteran who has significantly impacted the veteran community on or off campus.  The award recognizes outstanding service to programs or organizations (local or within the State of Utah) supporting our veterans, military service members (active, guard, or reserve), and their families in the following categories: outstanding service to veteran/military programs or organizations, leadership, student involvement, military service/accomplishments, and other community service.  Nominees without impacts within one or more of the five categories will still be considered. Awards will be graded based on individual impacts rather than on filling out all categories. The honor consists of being recognized at our annual dinner and the military football game the following day.  Nominations are accepted from campus students, faculty, and staff, community organizations, and local military units.  Each nomination should clearly explain why the nominee's outstanding service in the five categories deserves this recognition.  The nomination window is open, but all nominations must be received no later than 11:59 p.m., October 25, 2024.  Here is the link to download the nomination package:  Veteran/Armed Forces of the Year Award Nomination Package.
