New Funding Opportunity: Utah AI Moonshot Program
Weber State University is seeking faculty project ideas for the Utah AI Moonshot Program, a $5 million funding opportunity administered by the Nucleus Institute as part of the Governor's Pro-Human AI Initiative. We are inviting concept papers for research, innovation, and strategic partnerships that deliver measurable benefits to Utahns. Priority areas include Health & Human Flourishing, Environmental Intelligence, Bio-innovation, Autonomous Systems, and Open Horizon, with funding available across three tiers: Spark Grants ($50,000), Pathfinder Grants ($200,000), and Moonshot Awards ($1,000,000). Please note that Moonshot and Pathfinder proposals require a meaningful non-academic partnership. Following internal review, selected teams will work with the Office of Sponsored Projects to develop full proposals.
