SLAQC Collab Programs
The WSU Outdoor Program exists to support folks in accessing the outdoors and outdoor recreation activities. We know that there are barriers for many folks, including marginalized groups of people. We hope that our affinity programs offer safe options for folks to be in community, learn new skills, and grow as climbers and as people. The programs on this page are run in conjuction with Salt Lake Area Queer Climbers (SLAQC). We hope to further their work in creating a supportive space for all queer people to enjoy climbing. (LGBTQ) Learn to Lead Clinic
Are you ready to take the next step in your climbing experience? Our Learn to Lead clinic is just for you! Participants will meet with instructors to build on your current top roping skills. You'll learn the fundamentals of technical lead skills including gear inspections, clipping, and belaying.

Meet Ups!
Come hang out and climb with a fun crew! We host regular meet ups at our indoor climbing wall/Technical Training Center, run in collaboration with SLAQC, but open to all.

Custom Guiding
Join the WSU Outdoor Program for custom outdoor adventures. Our qualified and certified guides will ensure that you experience Utah to the fullest. We will meet with you to discuss your goals and objectives and creat a plan for success!
- We offer private tailored and customized adventure programs.
- We evaluate and adjust each program to your abilities and goals.
- We strive to have a low person-to-guide ratio for a more personalized experience.
- We get to discuss the activity and explain what makes northern Utah unique.
- We innovate and create programs around your goals and aspirations.

Gym to Crag Clinic
Ready to take this outside?!! This clinic is designed for climbers who have experience climbing (preferably leading) in the gym and would really love to break into the glorious scene of sport climbing outdoors. Ogden has some awesome climbing crags and we would love to help get folks prepared to access these as competent and responsible members of the community. We will focus on anchor building and cleaning as well as etiquette, equipment and leave no trace principles. Please plan to bring a lunch or snacks that can be eaten on the go!
