Details: This is the trip of the season, with phenomenal snow, endless options and 2 nights at the yurt. Bloomington Canyon boasts incredible ski and splitboard terrain, and the backcountry yurt is the perfect way to access and experience it. The yurt sleeps up to 12 people and is fully equipped with a large wood stove to keep you warm, cooking equipment, and bunk beds. This trip is for participants with strong skiing/riding skills and fitness who want a solid introduction to backcountry skiing/riding.  The yurt sits at an elevation of 7619 ft and is 7 miles from the Bloomington Canyon trailhead. From the trailhead, it is a 1600 ft vertical gain to the yurt. The trail is groomed year-round but is dependent upon snowfall. This trip requires participants to be in good physical condition.
