The civic advocacy degree program includes tracks in environmental advocacy, ethnic studies/ethnic advocacy, legal advocacy, public policy advocacy, religious advocacy and women's advocacy.
This program is designed to teach you how to serve as an advocate in the interest of the public good in roles such as an attorney, legislator, environmental advocate, animal rights advocate, religious leader, homeless advocate, politician, children's advocate, minority and marginalized populations representative, lobbyist and more.
A degree in digital media will teach you about the importance of deadlines, budgets and the impact your actions have on a production team.
As an advanced student, you will gain understanding about the art and power of communicating messages through video, audio and the web. This program offers two tracks: entertainment or digital media production.
A multimedia journalism degree teaches students how to collect and write information regarding current events, trends and issues for publication in a newspaper, magazine or website.
The curriculum emphasizes writing skills, but you will also learn about research, interviewing, editing, layout and design, as well as legal and ethical issues in journalism.
You can specialize in one of the following five tracks: general assignment reporting, literary journalism, technical writing, web publishing or sports journalism.
With a relational & organizational communication degree, you'll study complex professional communication in the workplace and dynamic interpersonal relationships. Specialize in interpersonal & family communication or organizing & leading.
The public relations & strategic communication degree provides you with the theory and practical skills in writing, critical thinking, marketing, advertising and communicating to influence public opinion across a range of media.
Students can specialize by choosing one of the following tracks: copywriting, healthcare public relations, international public relations, marketing or visual communication.
A degree in social media and data analytics prepares you with an in-depth understanding of social media and how to strategically use it to communicate.
You will gain skills in creating social media content, analyzing social media data and making visualizations to communicate complex data to audiences.
